It's that time again England Netball - Goalden Globe Awards 2010 for details go to

See new times schedule for the 9+ year groups, still on Thursdays.

We have decided that due to the popularity and success of the extended training hours on a Saturday, this will continue at least until the end of the league season, when it will be reviewed

Due to the great success of the teams last season, and to the increase in numbers at training on a Saturday we have reviewed the session times to try to ensure all age groups get maximum quality time on court for game practices and attention from the Coaches during the skills sessions.  This we feel will further develop the individuals’ skills and improve overall team performances.

New times are on the sessions page

My Coaching Philosophy by Head Coach Vanessa McErlain-Naylor

My coaching Philosophy is one of 2 halves to capture the equity of the club:

Part 1: for the recreational side of the club and Part 2: for the competitive part of the club.

Both have the following as a base structure: Success is about getting a group of players together as a team to play netball and reach their potential, whilst having fun and enjoying the positive team ethos and culture of belonging to the club.

Individual growth and development to reach ones own potential and that of the team is the aim of delivering appropriate sessions through out the season/s, and pointing individuals towards the appropriate talent pathway if and when applicable.

I will always encourage everyone within the team / club to put the best interest of the team / club first, before any thoughts about themselves. I believe no individual player, coach or official is more important than the team / club and that success builds pride, but so does hard work, commitment and achieving ones own goals. this I try to install through my own dedication and leadership of the club.

Part 1 concludes with:

Success and individual growth through appropriate goal setting have much in common, as our players will compete WITH their team mates rather than AGAINST other teams.

Part 2 concludes with:

Playing time is earned, NOT given i.e. the amount of court time each player gets will depend on their skill level, attitude, commitment to the team / club and their versatility. A team can ALWAYS control their effort which should be 100% but SELDOM control the outcome of a game but with 100% effort and commitment winning is more likely to occur.

Well what a start 6,588 hits in January that is up on last year.

Again can I just say to any visitor from abroad that we love having you visit our club site and we would love to hear from you, SO PLEASE e-mail us and tell us about yourself and what you think of our site, who knows, we could possibly come and play a series of matches in your home town we would love to hear from you
