Sunday 16th May
u16s and u19s went to Horncastle U19s started the day well with a great win but then illness took over - and during the day i think we ended up with 3 fit out the 8 squad - so a fantastic effort by them all as they finished 3rd we hope they all get fit and back on their feet soon. u16s haven't had many matches this season and it showed at the beginning of the day - but as they played more they started to gel together and had 2 great wins in the afternoon - to draw on points for 4th and 5th place - finishing 5th due to goal difference.
Hi 5 went to Skegness to play in the last grand prix of the season and finished 3rd u12s and u13s played at Horncastle - both teams had some great games and the u12s (a new combination) started to get it together - and found their feet and started to work as a team as the day went on. u13s had it hard in the u14 section but again played some good games - took some time to settle down both teams finished 5th on the day - well done thanks to Yvonne / Racheal and Sophie for going to Skegness and Debbie and Nat for going to Horncastle - thanks also go to Sue Huck for helping with the umpiring at Horncastle.

Match Report from Steph Blanchard
Week -end 27th & 28th March
It started on the Saturday when 4 of our girls went for trials to get into the academy team, and all four were selected.
Then Sunday the wonderful under 14s and the under 19s went to show their skills in the regional championships. the under 19s finished 6th, not bad when you remember this is a regional tournament. But what can we say about the under 14s team who played a blinder AND CAME AWAY AS OUTRIGHT WINNERS. When I get the photos they will be on a special page along with reports from various people. This team will now go forward to the National finals on 8th/9th May in Manchester. I am sure we will all be supporting them. There is a message from Carol Spencer, East Midlands Competition Technical Support Group on our Message Board
Well what a day
Sunday 21st March -
This was the Lincolnshire satellite academy trials day, 15 members of club turned out having being selected to go - via club / school they went through 3 skills sessions and then played games - the standard was high and it was very apparent that unless they played their hearts out and gave it 110% then the 20 places on offer would not be coming their way. What a fantastic result - 12 out the 15 got selected and offered places on the 10 week programme to start in April - this is the start of the England Netball Talent pathway - so well done girls and good luck with the training
What a weekend for for results
Saturday 13th March
The u118's took on the RAF squad in a friendly at the end of the first 1/4 we were 11 v 6 up - and that's how it continued during the game the girls gave 100% at all times. the defence were tight and the centre court linked attack and defence with some great moves and the shooters did their job and popped them in the end result was 30 v 18 to Brigg -An excellent game by all
CONGRATULATIONS TO BRIGG BLACK UNDEFEATED ALL SEASON !!! SEE PHOTO OF THE TEAM
Without a defeat to their name all season - the u14 blacks took on Horncastle A a game that would decide the league title for the season the girls were determined to win - and win they did! They played the best they had played all year, with some personnel best performances by individuals, and from the very first whistle they were determined they were going home league champions and what better way to celebrate mothers day - for all the mums that have supported them all season. quarter 1 we were 12 v 4 up quarter 2 21 v 5 up quarter 3 27 v 8 up. End result 34 v 12 winners It would be hard to praise any one individual as it truly was a team effort and a team win. We now look forward to representing Lincolnshire at the regional tournament on the 28th March.

MATCH REPORTS SATURDAY 6TH MARCH 2010 - WE FINISH THE SEASON ON A HIGH - 3 WINS !!!
Match Report Brigg Blue U14 - Saturday 20th February 2010
Report from Tracy
Sunday 24th January
Senior A took on Skegness A and despite 100% commitment from everyone - they finished without gaining a point for the table The Skegness shooters were very accurate and nothing our defence did stopped them. the u19s then took on Skegness and this was a different story - Brigg fielded a strong 8 and all centre court (Bry/ Emily / Kelly and Catlin) were able to have a quarter rest which helped them to the finial score line of 47 v 22 - With Alison unable to play Nic took on the role of GS and after a slow start her confidence grow and the goals went in, and her partnership with Hannah became a strong one. Kim and Becki were dominant in defence and made some great interceptions.
The senior A team then took on Skegness B after only an hour and half rest - and got of to a great start with goals being steady from both sides. But then as the 2nd quarter started the goals just rung around the net and didn't go in - the story was the same after making changers. Efforts were high and they were rewarded with a point for the table for gaining over half the score of Skegness B the team was: Natalie, Katie, Laura, Jenny, Bev, Paula, Kirsty, Emma
Sunday 17th Jan
Brigg Black Hi 5 team took part in the 2nd grand prix fixture of the season on they won both their games and finished winners on the day on there previous outing in November they finished 2nd overall.

Thursday 29th October
Brigg U14 Black v Brigg U14 Blue Two of our U14 teams had to play their league match against each other, never easy matches playing against your club mates! Brigg Blue came out fighting determined to give us, the Blacks, a hard game, but we Blacks gave it our all as always and won the match 65-3.

Sunday 25th Oct
Brigg senior B took on Boston Seniors, and despite a 6 goal lead in the first half. we only just held on and won by 2 goals. It was a tight game and at one point all was even, but we hung on and won 33 - 31
Thursday 22nd Oct
Brigg under 14s Black, took on Gainsbough under 14s. The Brigg team were missing 2 regular team players. Because of this we decided to give 2 girls from one of our lower teams a chance to show what they can do playing in the first team. Spirits were high, and at the end of the first quarter a lead had been established, and it was not until later on that Gainsbough managed to score, however this was not enough to stop Brigg winning with a score of 70 - 3.
Fantastic, well done, and all he other expletives
Brigg Whites v Gainsbough - Saturday 17th October
A brilliant performance was displayed by everyone in this game. Everyone worked hard to achieve a great win, which lifted our spirits after the last match. Fantastic, lets win again on the next game. Final score 20 - 8 (WE WON)
The team - Steph, Evie, Laura, Robyn, Rosie, Olivia & Alicia played a fantastic game of netball. The girls went on court determined to win after their defeat last week and they played a brilliant game of netball. Laura and Alicia did a fantastic job defending keeping the goals from the opposition to a minimum, Robyn had so many interceptions it was brilliant. Evie and Rosie worked really well in centre court passing the ball to Steph and Olivia who just kept popping in the goals. Brilliant game girls - well done !

We got off to a very disappointing start to the season at North Hykeham, but our heads were held high throughout the game, whilst showing perseverance and good sprits against a very strong side. Well done everyone Final score 9 - 22 (we lost)
Match report was sent from Steph - Brigg U14 White captain. Well done Steph keep it up
Saturday 7th October
Brigg Blue played their League match against Horncastle C at Sleaford and they WON 18 - 5 !!!! What a result for these girls, their first win of the season ! The team - Zoe, Jemma, Sophie, Isobel, Chelsea, Alicia & Laura played an outstanding game of netball. They have a tremendous team spirit and support each other all the way ! There was no stopping Alicia and Jemma who kept popping in the goals fed in to the 'D' by Sophie and Isobel who did a tremendous job in centre court!! The defenders Laura, Chelsea & Zoe kept getting the ball back down the court determined not to let the opposition get too many shots! Fab effort from everyone - Well done girls you deserved to win !!

Friday 18th
Well the senior C team had their first game of the season against Louth seniors, this was the first experience of the Lincolnshire league for 4 members of the squad. 100% was given by all - and a good grounding was formed of partnerships in the D's and in centre court the score line didn't reflect the feel of the game as everyone thought it felt a lot closer and thought a point was in the bag the end result was 24 to Brigg - 57 to Louth
The u19's followed and although at one stage in the 2nd 1/4 there was only a 5 goal lead to Brigg - some sensible talking between all players and the bench at half time saw a turn around in the score as Brigg pulled away and won by 20 goals 59 v 39
Under 14 white (u13's) had their first league game against Horncastle B - and despite some good individual efforts the team took some time to gel and as a result failed to get their first points on the board
The u12's took on Sleaford and in a nail biting game and ended up with a 12 v 12 draw
Under 14 blue got their first point on the board with a great game by all - the team is now starting to find their places and gel together - the result of 12 v 8 was a great result.
Special thanks to Megan from Vanessa for attending all 5 games this weekend and acting as scorer
Under 14 blue took the court against Gainsborough, and Zoe was up for the captains role - ensuring everyone was well focussed and warmed up. The first quarter ended 4 v 1 down - and at half time we were 6 v 4 down - winning that quarter - everyone was giving 100% Jemma got her eye in and her movement around the "D" was the best she had shown. Becky and Chelsea were strong in defence, centre court linked well and with a few changers we started the 2nd half - ending the 3rd quarter 8 v 7 down again winning the 3rd quarter - sprits were high but when tiered legs took over, we ended up losing 12 v 9 a brilliant start to the league
Under 14 Black - took the court determined to show they are a force to recon with - and everyone again played well - but the result was an easy win 50 v 1
Sunday saw the young newly formed Under 16s take on Lincoln City and the first 10 mins of the first quarter they were quite even, but in the last 5 mins Lincoln pulled away showing their experience we finished the quarter 6 v 12 down. Despite some great efforts by all, and excellent interceptions by the captain Kim we were 1 goal short of getting a point - the game ended 19 v 39 to Lincoln - everyone played their part - and gave 100% despite carrying injuries and suffering from a heavy cold - we have lots to build on and look forward to the next games. the team was Kim / Mollie B / Emma S/ Sophie P / Millie / Mollie M and Emily
The Tuesday night league has now
started again, tonight's game (22nd Sept) for my team the senior blue team,
Natalie, Katie, Caityln, Paula, Jo, Emma and Bev beat Hinchcliffe B 17 - 15.
After the first quarter we had losing then we changed the team around and at
half time was winning we held in front throughout the rest of the game although
having a player sent off so answering the umpire back which only left us with
one shooter.
I give the greatest thank you to Bev and Caitlyn as they was amazing in defence
and if it was not for them they we would have lost the game.
Well done everyone what a great game. But to all you younger ones just remember
listen to the umpire and complain after the game has finished not on the court.
Natalie xx

Sunday 25th Aug
2 senior teams travelled to Spalding - in the nice warm weather - which made a change from recent events. Both teams set off really well winning their first 2 games, that's where it ended for the Blue team - they then lost their remaining 5 games some only by a few goals ! but didn't qualify for the play offs well done to : Kate, Laura S, Vicky, Paula A, Vanessa, Joy, Emma D and Kirsty.
The Black team won all but 2 games with one of the 2 being a draw - so they qualified in 3rd place from their group for the quarter finials - after full time they were at a draw 5 all - and in a golden score situation they lost 6 v 5 finishing joint 5th overall. well done to: Alison P, Hannah , Kelly , Bryony , Catlin, Kim and Jenny
